There are several beautiful parks in Bethlehem, Elm Avenue Park, just minutes (1.5 miles) from Elm Estates, is the largest and most popular. The 160 acre complex offers 3 pools, 8 tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball and softball fields, and picnic areas. During the summer there are weekly cultural events; in the winter cross country skiing, snowmobiling, ice skating, and hockey are all available.

Library

The Bethlehem Public Library is located at 451 Delaware Avenue, 5 minutes from Elm Estates. It offers 130,000 volumes, a media center a referral and information service, a career resource center, meeting rooms, and children's room.

Services for Senior Citizens

• 33 Services and Programs as well as information and referrals to seniors are available at Town Hall.
• Curb to curb transportation is available for ambulatory as well as disabled seniors to appointments and activities.
• Five local Senior Citizen Clubs offer a variety of social activities

Shopping

• Crossgates Mall in Guilderland, a short drive, has over 150 stores including Filenes, Jordan Marsh, Abercrombie & Fitch, Laura Ashley, and Carroll Reed.
• Stuyvesant Plaza (near Crossgates) has approximately 50 specialty shops.
• Colonie Center, 20 minutes from Elm Estates, has 75 stores including Macys and Sears. Northway Mall is right across the street.
• Delaware Plaza, 7 minutes from Elm Estates, has over 25 stores and is located on Delaware Avenue near a number of other specialty shops and services.
• Cohoes shopping is just 20 minutes from Elm Estates.

• Empire Plaza is only 15 minutes from Elm Estates.
• Albany Airport is less then 25 minutes from Elm Estates.
• Lake George is a little over an hour, Saratoga, just over 1 /2 hour
